Q&A: Julia Masli

Estonian comedian Julia Masli returns to the Fringe after being the Daily Telegraphs top five shows not to miss at last year. Her new show Choosh is an absurd homage to migration, with a hungry clown from eastern Europe going to America for a hot dog. A brilliant hour of sketch, gags and down right silliness which is gaurenteeed to have you laughing

Are you excited to be back at the Edinburgh Fringe?

Yes EEEE! AAAA! Ooooooo! Djsidhhsiwkshdhe chooooosh!

Describe your show Choosh using three words?

Bullshit! choosh! hahaha!

What is one Estonian dish that everybody needs to try?

Pirukas! Pirukas is a stuffed sweet bread filled with Estonian ethnic goodness. You can pick from stewed beef, carrots, cabbage or other rural available food. They’re like dumplings but Estonian and best in the world.

I’m hungry now… heeeeelp!

Will you see any other Fringe shows this year?

Too many brilliant ones to pick from! Here are some: Lucy Hopkins: Dark Mother, Viggo Venn: Club Comedian, John Luke Roberts: A World Just Luke Our Own, Shelf: Hair, Joz Norris: Blink, Jordan Gray: Is it a bird and Jeremy Segway: A life out of balance (by The Duncan Brothers)

What should the audience expect when watching Choosh?

Snow on your head! Laughter! A communal orgasm! More laughter! Choosh!

See Julia Masli: CHOOSH! at the Assembly Roxy during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe from 3-28 August. For more information and tickets visit www.edfringe.com or www.assemblyfestival.com
