Peckham Arches launches with 600 capacity garden
...for cocktails and craft beers, an open fire BBQ grill, bookable spaces and an art gallery.
Bird House London, the team behind West London’s favourite neighbourhood cocktail and al fresco dining venue, The Hawk’s Nest, are thrilled to announce their next venture, Peckham Arches which will be opening this Spring.
Adding to the bustling social food scene of Peckham and located a two-minute walk from Peckham Rye Station, the venue features a 2.5m open fire BBQ grill and two large cocktail bars. The venue will also include private events spaces, a gallery with OHSH Projects and a monthly events calendar of live music, DJ’s and more.
The venue's garden terrace is covered and heated with a capacity of 600 people making it the perfect space for large groups, parties and private hire. Within Peckham Arches, there are also a variety of spaces which can be privately hired such as a screening room, the bar, a games room and an art gallery.
The Terrace
Similarly to The Hawk’s Nest, Peckham Arches will focus on bringing a real neighbourhood and community feel to the area. Focusing on bringing different concepts to one venue, the art gallery, screening room and dance room will sit alongside the Arches outside terrace which is adorned with plants and covered with a heated canopy. The terrace will be the beating heart of the venue, where a Middle Eastern inspired open fire kitchen will fill the space with the smells of delicious dishes such as Merguez sausages, Bavette steak, Marinated Chicken Thighs and chargrilled vegetable
Alongside the mouthwatering menu, the terrace has two bars available for guests to enjoy a variety of cocktails such as Blood Orange Margarita and Passionfruit Mezcalita as well as serving a selection of draught and local beer.
The Gallery
The Arches is thrilled to be opening their Gallery room which will bring a real community feel to the venue. With a variety of events scheduled in their monthly events calendar, Arches has partnered with OHSH projects, which focuses on creating tactile conversations between artists and spaces. The art series will feature a group of 8 emerging local artists and showcase a variety of artwork from local talent, including the likes of Paula Baader, Solanne Bernard and Charlie Chesterman and be on display throughout the following months.
The Screening Room
The Screening Room is the Arches slightly more private area and secluded bar. Accessible via the terrace, the room is located within one of the arches' and delivers a sultry space for intimate events and casual get-togethers. With a large TV screen and seating up to 60, Peckham Arches has utilised the space to debut a monthly comedy night hosted by comedian Joe Davies while also available for private hire. It's a great space to get together with friends and enjoy an evening of local talent.
The Dance Room
The Dance Room is the Arches hidden gem, with a speakeasy cocktail bar, the cosy room is perfectly suited for cocktail parties and drinks receptions. The Arches will be hosting a roster of music events with Sofar sounds kicking off the roster of events on the 26th April, as the Arches invite guests to join them for an intimate performance with talented local musicians. Grab a drink and become fully immersed in the music in the intimate setting of the dance room.
Skylarking
Neighbouring the Arches is Skylarking, also founded by Bird House London. Skylarking is a casual neighbourhood hotspot hangout for an early evening bite to eat which offers sourdough pizzas and margarita cocktails.
