Black Tap, New York’s favourite burger spot is finally landing in Central London
The new 5000sq flagship ft site will be one of the biggest sites yet, opening on Soho’s Glasshouse Street on 17th April

Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer, the legendary New York burger joint and home of the world-famous CrazyShake®, is set to open its biggest, most ambitious site yet. The flagship London store will open on 17th April in Soho’s Glasshouse street.
Going full circle, the SoHo born burger joint will complete the SoHo to Soho journey by cutting the ribbon at its new 5,000 sq ft location in April, with some of its most iconic burgers, and American classics, alongside new London Exclusives.
Spanning two floors, the flagship store will immerse guests in Black Tap's signature aesthetic: bold monochrome floors, graffiti-covered walls by visual artist Bradley Theodore and a golden-era hip-hop soundtrack oozing NYC vibes.
The 164-cover venue will also boast a sleek ground floor bar for cocktails and a basement dining space with an Instagram-worthy boombox walkway alongside a CrazyShake® bar where guests will witness the making of the most indulgent, over-the-top shakes they’ve ever seen.
Delivering big, bold Americana with award-winning burgers, huge portion sizes, towering shakes and flavour in every bite; Black Tap isn’t just a restaurant - it’s an experience.
Two brand-new menu items mark Black Tap’s Soho arrival including The Big Apple - where NYC meets London in true decadent dessert form. Crushed toffee and graham cracker crumble mix with a cream cheese frosted rim and topped with a caramel apple cheesecake slice, a whole toffee apple and whipped cream with a toffee sauce drizzle. A drool-worthy ingredient list, right?
Joining the award-winning line-up, The Londoner is an elevated take on classic British flavours with the classic Black Tap twist. A premium, thick beef patty is topped with a layer of pungent Stinking Bishop cheese, topped with sweet and tangy Sammy Smith’s apple cider jam, peppery watercress and a punchy Dijon mustard vinaigrette!
Chris Barish, Chairman of Black Tap, said: "Opening in London's Soho feels like coming full circle for us. We started as a small 15-seat restaurant in New York's SoHo a decade ago, and now we're bringing that same energy and passion for craft burgers to London.
“We've always believed that a great burger experience is about more than just the food – it's about creating a vibrant atmosphere where people can connect over incredible flavours while surrounded by art, music, and creativity.
Julie Mulligan Barish, CEO of Black Tap said: “London's dynamic food scene and Soho's electric energy make this the perfect home for our UK flagship, and we can't wait to share our award-winning burgers and CrazyShakes with Londoners."
A spokesperson for Black Tap UK, said: “Launching Black Tap’s flagship store in the heart of Soho - a neighbourhood known for its energy, creativity and incredible food scene - is the perfect way to kick off the next chapter for the brand in the UK.”
“With the flagship store, we’re excited to introduce Londoners and visitors alike the ultimate Black Tap experience, complete with its signature burgers, award-winning CrazyShakes and delicious craft beer - all in a space that celebrates creativity and community.”
