Mamma Mia: New Soho Pasta Spot Giving Away Free Dishes

The newest opening from renowned Soho restaurateur Nima Safaei will serve up fresh pasta until 1am every weekend

Soho’s newest late-night pasta spot, 27 Old Compton Street, is set to open its doors this month, redefining late-night dining with freshly handmade pasta from just £10.

To celebrate its grand opening, 27 Old Compton Street will be dishing out 300 free pasta bowls from 24th - 26th March, serving a different signature dish each day between 12pm and 2pm. The only catch? You’ve got to be quick – once they’re gone, they’re gone!

This new Italian hotspot brings the speed and simplicity of Italy’s ‘tavola calda’ tradition (literally meaning “hot table”) to Soho, serving up restaurant-quality pasta, fast. Expect fresh, authentic Italian flavours – without the wait.

Here’s what’s on the freebie menu:

Monday, 24th March: Pumpkin, ricotta & sage ravioliTuesday, 25th March: Rigatoni amatriciana with pancetta & chilliesWednesday, 26th March: Conchiglie with octopus ragu

Of course, no Italian meal is complete without the perfect drink pairing. While the pasta is free, the restaurant will also serve an expertly curated selection of Italian wines and cocktails, available to purchase alongside your dish.

The brains behind the new spot, Nima Safaei, said: “The concept of ‘tavola calda’ instantly resonated with me. I wanted to create a place where fast food doesn’t mean compromising on quality or flavour. 27 Old Compton Street is about bringing a slice of ‘la dolce vita’ to London, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than by giving away 300 free bowls of pasta!”
