AVI-8 Announces Collaboration with Imperial War Museums
We are pleased to introduce AVI-8's latest collaboration with Imperial War Museums (IWM). The IWM is a British national museum, headquartered in London that was founded in 1917. It was intended to record the civil and military war effort and sacrifice of the United Kingdom and its Empire during the First World War. As of 2012, the museum aims to provide for, and to encourage, the study and understanding of the history of modern war and wartime experience.
Partnering with Imperial War Museums, AVI-8 celebrates the museum's mission to collect the stories and objects that give an insight into people’s experiences of war and preserve them for future generations. As the world’s leading authority on conflict and its impact, IWM's commitment to preserving and sharing these stories aligns perfectly with AVI-8's dedication to aviation heritage.
This exclusive capsule collection features four iconic timepieces inspired by some of the most legendary aircrafts. Each design commemorates the bravery and innovation of wartime aviators. Through their design, the watches encapsulate the spirit of its namesake aircrafts, meticulously crafted to honour their legacy.
The AVI-8 x Imperial War Museums collection is available from 6th September avi-8.co.uk
