Aqua Kyoto launches Fuyu Terrace
Aqua Kyoto celebrates the change in season with a winter terrace transformation. The new Fuyu Terrace, meaning winter in Japanese 冬, features an abundance of silk maple leaves and Japanese acer set with twinkling lights to take diners from noon to night. Guests visiting the Fuyu Terrace will be able to enjoy winter's goldenhour alongside Aqua Kyoto’s new whisky cocktail menu, bringing to life the restaurant's premium whisky portfolio paired with the delicate flavours of Japan.
The Fuyu Terrace will provide Londoners with the ultimate winter hideaway, providing shelter from the outdoor elements under a fully covered and heated terrace with panoramic views of the city. Whether a whisky aficionado looking to sample a selection of premium blends or a cocktail lover who likes to experiment, there will be a cocktail to suit all tastes.
The new menu will feature five whisky based cocktails, inviting guests to experience a range of premium whisky blends, refined flavour combinations and personalised drinks each with a suggested food pairing from Aqua Kyoto’s terrace menu:
Fuyu Old Fashioned (£20) with Mortlach 12, angostura bitters, orange bitters and sugar syrup. Alternatively guests are invited to personalise their own version by selecting from an array of whiskies from Aqua Kyoto’s premium portfolio including Johnnie Walker Black Label, Talisker 18 and Lagavulin. Suggested food pairing: Spicy tuna, tobiko, avocado maki (£18)
Sweet Escape (£15) mixed from Johnnie Walker Black Label, lemon juice, cranberry juice, passion fruit puree, peach schnapps and vanilla syrup topped with Chambord. Suggested food pairing: Sushi - salmon, tuna, white fish (£26)
Shiso Sour (£15) made from Singleton 12yr, shiso leaves, lime juice and sugar syrup. Suggested food pairing: Sashimi - salmon, tuna, white fish (£26)
Penicillin (£15) is created by mixing Talisker 10, lemon juice, honey water syrup with ginger syrup. Suggested food pairing: Salmon & avocado rolls (£23)
Wild and Free (£40) made with Johnnie Walker Blue Label, truffle honey and white truffle bitters, served with a cherry wood smoke for an added theatrical flourish. Suggested food pairing: Chicken karaage, wasabi furikake, yuzu mayo (£14.50)
