Vendors have created a limited-edition gin-infused specials including a Gin & Zest Pizza and Gin & Tonic Fish and Chips especially for the celebrations
The gin-ormous event will also feature an exclusive Q&A with James May about all things James Gin
Market Place is gearing up to celebrate two years of its iconic yellow and black street food hall in Vauxhall this September, with what promises to be a gin-tastic evening of food, drinks and music.
Looking to celebrate the milestone in style, Market Place has teamed up with James Gin, created by TV legend and host of The Grand Tour - James May himself. The evening will not only be a mega birthday bash for the venue, but it will also mark Market Place Vauxhall becoming the first bar in the UK to serve James Gin!
To add to the excitement, an exclusive Q&A with James May will take place on the evening where he will spill the tea on the careful curation of James Gin and how the brand came to life. A selection of Market Place Vauxhall’s talented street food vendors have also created a menu of gin-infused delicacies for the extravaganza, which can be found below:
The Duck Shed
Gin & Duck Croquettes - Slow Roast Chinese 5-spice duck croquettes with sticky blackcurrant and James Gin sauce.
Gin & Duck Salad - A slow roasted pulled duck salad with pickled fennel, roasted figs, radicchio with orange and James Gin vinaigrette.
Inamo Sukoshi
A-May-Zing Chicken - Japanese chicken karaage with James Gin spicy orange mayo and orange zest.
The Rolls Royce of Rolls - Scottish salmon, avocado, sushi rice, nori with orange tobiko James Gin infused mayo, sriracha and chives.
The Gukan Tour - Scottish salmon marinated in James Gin, sesame oil and soy sauce, sprinkled with chives and sesame seeds.
Made in Puglia
Gin & Zest Pizza - Made in Puglia’s classic pizza dough topped with James Gin, lemon, tonic tomato sauce, melted mozzarella and Italian sausage.
Wicked Fish
James Gin & Tonic Battered Haddock - Fresh Northern-Sea Haddock battered in James Gin & Tonic infused batter mix, served alongside crisp coated chips and homemade tartar sauce.
Yorkshire Burrito
James Gin Infused Yorkshire Burrito - Chicken thighs glazed in fresh sage and James Gin, wrapped in our toasted yorkshire pudding and topped with all the roast dinner trimmings.
Over the last four years, Market Place has evolved from a singular venue in Peckham, to four venues across the city with plans to expand further across the UK and globally. Over the years, Market Place has worked with a range of street food vendors, focusing on gastronomic trends and new cuisines as well as being able to offer a huge variety of options for all to enjoy - whether you’re a vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free.
